Calvary Hospital Hosts Annual Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

BRONX, NY, January 2012 -- On Thursday, January 12, 2012, Calvary Hospital hosted their annual “The Dream of a King” event commemorating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Keynote speaker Reverend Doctor Ruby M. Wilson of Safe Haven Ministries located in New York City, helped celebrate the legacy of the civil rights leader. She talked about Dr. King’s vision of a promised land where races would live together in peace, a land where each person would be judged by the content of their character, rather than the color of their skin.
An audience of patients, families, and employees enjoyed inspirational and uplifting traditional gospel songs by Reverend Marshall Morton and Calvary Hospital’s Gospel Choir, such as Lift Every Voice and Sing as well as We Shall Overcome.
