Additional Enhancements Make Website More User-Friendly

 BRONX, NEW YORK, November 2009 – Calvary Hospital recently launched the inaugural issue of its first e-newsletter, Calvary Life.  This communication tool is designed to keep people updated on the latest hospital news and community partnerships.  Although donations are always encouraged, Calvary Life is not only limited to donors.  To download the inaugural issue, please go to  www.calvaryhospital.org/calvarylifeI

            In an effort to make its website more user-friendly, Calvary recently made numerous enhancements to simplify navigation and find information.  From the Home Page, you may:

 The Make a Gift section has been updated to spotlight the many ways that people can support Calvary’s unique mission.  Site visitors will find valuable information on making numerous types of gifts such as: memorial gifts, annual gifts, bequests, gift annuities and other creative giving ideas.  There are many ways to support Calvary’s programs and services!

Founded in 1899, Calvary Hospital is the nation’s only fully accredited acute care specialty hospital providing palliative care to adult advanced cancer patients -- regardless of their religious, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.  Calvary cares for inpatients at a 200-bed facility in the Bronx and a 25-bed unit in Brooklyn at Lutheran Medical Center.  More than 5,500 patients are cared for annually by Calvary’s inpatient, outpatient, home and hospice care, and wound care services.
