In the New York metropolitan area, and especially in the Bronx and lower Westchester, Calvary has established itself as a resource for grieving families.  We offer free bereavement support groups for adults, children, and teens, and referrals for additional support if necessary.  Our programs are available to anyone who has lost a loved one, whether that person was a patient at Calvary, or someone from the larger community whose death is attributable to illness, accident, or violence.  To learn more about Calvary’s bereavement support programs and how you can support its mission, go to www.calvaryhospital.org.

Calvary Hospital (www.calvaryhospital.org) is the nation’s only fully accredited acute care specialty hospital devoted exclusively to providing palliative care to adult advanced cancer patients.  A 225-bed facility with locations in the Bronx and Brooklyn, Calvary is the model for the relief of cancer pain and symptoms for more than a century.  More than 5,500 patients are cared for annually by Calvary’s inpatient, outpatient, home care, hospice, nursing home hospice, and wound care services.
