Calvary Honors Sally-Ann James-Sealy, CCT with "Catch A Star" Award

Westchester Resident Honored for Her Professional Excellence

BRONX, NEW YORK, March 2014 – Calvary Hospital recently honored Westchester resident, Sally-Ann James-Sealy, CCT with the “Catch a Star” Award.  The Hospital encourages patients, family members, visitors and employees to nominate members of the nursing staff (nurses, cancer care technicians, and administrative staff) who demonstrate the Hospital’s Core Values of Caring, Compassion, Commitment, Non-Abandonment, and Dignity through their work.  Honorees are also expected to go above and beyond to make a difference, and exemplify a “healing touch” presence with patients and family members.  Award recipients are chosen by their nurse administrators, peers, physicians, patients and families.

            Sally-Ann James-Sealy began working at Calvary in 2005 as a Nurse’s Aide and graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2012 from BOCES (Board of Cooperative Educational Services).

            Her nomination forms from colleagues and family members included comments such as:

  • “Sally-Ann is a sweet, caring, and lovely individual who knows her craft and performs above and beyond my expectations.”
  • “Her bright smile made my day during an extremely difficult period in my life.”
  • She made me feel comfortable and explained what was happening.”

Sally-Ann was born in St. Lucia, in the Caribbean, during her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities and listening to music.  Sally-Ann and her family reside in Westchester County, NY.
