Founded in 1899, Calvary Hospital is the nation's only fully accredited acute care specialty hospital singularly devoted to providing palliative care to adult, advanced cancer patients. Calvary's continuum of care includes inpatient care, outpatient care, care of complex wounds, home care, hospice, nursing home hospice, bereavement care, and extensive support programs for patients, families, and friends.

2012 Circle of Award®
In November 2012, Press Ganey named Calvary Hospital a Summit Award winner for the 7th consecutive year. To qualify, hospitals had to be in the top five percent for patient satisfaction among thousands of hospitals surveyed and to achieve this coveted position for at least three consecutive years. Since 2006, the first year that the Summit Award has been awarded, Calvary has been the only hospital from New York State to: 1) receive this prestigious award for seven consecutive years and 2) to be recognized for excellence in the "Inpatient Care" category.
