The Professional Advisors Council (PAC) was established in 2001 to assist the Board of Directors and the staff of the Hospital to secure the financial support required to operate the nation’s only acute care hospital dedicated solely to the palliative care of adult advanced cancer patients. PAC members are volunteers from the legal, investment, accounting, insurance and banking professions.
In 2004 the PAC instituted “Ethics for Breakfast,” an annual meeting for lawyers. Hon. Lee L. Holzman, Surrogate in Bronx County, moderates the program. Each year the PAC selects a hot topic for attorneys who practice in the field of Trusts and Estates. The program is certified by the New York State Board of Continuing Legal Education and attendees are entitled to receive two ethics credits. Over 225 attorneys attended this popular program last year.
In 2003 the PAC launched the Spring Planned Giving Donor Program and Reception and each year since, a PAC subcommittee plans this signature event. To read more about this outstanding program click here.
