Mentors Through Mourning

Calvary Hospital’s Bereavement Department is pleased to announce our annual Mentors Through Mourning: School Daze Workshop.

The workshop will be presented virtually on Zoom for mental health professionals and educators who work with children and teens for one evening only.

When: Monday, January 22, 2024
Time: 4:30-7:30 PM Eastern Time on Zoom
Fee: $37.50 (originally $75)

Our program will feature 3 presentations on grieving community violence and trauma, understanding children’s grief, and an interventions and experiential workshop.

  2. Please download and fill out the application form.
  3. Once you’ve filled out the registration form, please email it to Joanne Castellanos at jcastellanos@calvaryhospital.org.
  4. Your payment can either be made by check/ money order mailed to the address detailed below, or by card (credit or debit) by calling Calvary Hospital’s cashier’s office at 718-518-2063.

Support Groups

A connection to Calvary is not necessary to participate in any Calvary support group. All groups are offered at a nominal fee.


Attending Support Groups

Anyone who is interested in participating must schedule a meeting with one of our bereavement counselors before attending their first session.

Bereavement Services for Hospice

Spring 2024 Calendar
Calvary Hospice provides informational and supportive sessions on Zoom to anyone who has experienced a loss on hospice. Sessions will cover a variety of topics about the grieving process and how to cope. Everyone is welcome to join any or all of the following sessions — no registration required.
