Through our Palliative Care Institute, Calvary teaches our family-centric patient care model to doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals from across the globe. To date, we have welcomed visitors from more than 30 countries. Calvary is delighted to have an impact on how end-of- life care is being delivered to people around the world, especially in countries where palliative care is still in its infancy.

Calvary has welcomed doctors and nurses from Japan and Oman in the Middle East. Wach traveling more than 12,000 miles roundtrip to come to Calvary and learn our pioneering model of care.

On February 29, 2012, Dr. Michael Brescia and Dr. Robert Brescia lectured on Calvary’s model of palliative care to more than 700 health care professionals at the 17th Annual conference “Crossing Borders for Palliative Care” sponsored by the Israel Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) in Tel Aviv. They also visited the Al Sadeel Society, the first organization to offer palliative services to dying patients in Palestine. The organization’s founders accomplished this as a direct result of their training at Calvary.
