Calvary Hospital Compliance Hotline

The Calvary Hospital Compliance Program ensures that Hospital operations are conducted in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, Calvary policies and procedures and in accordance with Calvary’s mission, vision and values.

Calvary employees have a duty to report any actual or suspected act of fraud, waste or abuse, or any other illegal or unethical conduct. The Compliance Hotline is a reporting mechanism that enables reporting of possible violations when the regular channels of communication have proven ineffective or are impractical under the circumstances.

The Compliance Hotline is available to employees as well as contractors, vendors, patients and their families. Most patient complaints are handled by Patient Relations which can be reached at 718-518-2289. Employees are encouraged to utilize the reporting Chain of Command by contacting their supervisor or department head. They may also contact Calvary’s Corporate Compliance Officer, Susan Marotta, at 718-518-2210. If an employee is unsure about where to go with a concern, or feels uncomfortable reporting through normal channels of communication, or wishes to raise the issue anonymously, the employee should access the Compliance Hotline.

The Compliance Hotline is run by NAVEX Global, an independent third-party provider, and is available online or by telephone. Whether reporting via the Web or by telephone the Hotline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Calvary Hospital Compliance Hotline is designed to protect confidentiality and anonymity, if requested. Regardless of how a report is made, Calvary prohibits retaliation in any form against anyone who, in good faith, reports a potential violation or who cooperates with an investigation, even if sufficient evidence is not found to substantiate the concern. Calvary will take necessary action against any individual determined to be engaging in retaliatory conduct.
